“Body image is the mental picture you have of your body — what it looks like, what you believe about it, and how you feel about it. Self-esteem, on the other hand, relates to how much you recognize or appreciate your individual character, qualities, skills and accomplishments; how you value and respect yourself as a person.
You can control one life—yours. But when we constantly compare ourselves to others, we waste precious energy focusing on other peoples' lives rather than our own. Comparisons often result in resentment. Resentment towards others and towards ourselves.
You are you. You’ll always be you. You’ll never be anyone else. And although it might be hard to believe for some of us, this is actually a good thing.”
